Cannabis Makes Our Lives Better

Yesterday morning, my son woke up and said, “I’m grateful for marijuana.”

A funny comment to spill from a nine-year old’s mouth.  I’m thankful for marijuana too, but my gratitude is expected.  As a patient, MMJ eases the excruciating muscle spasms that haunt me nonstop.  But my son’s acknowledgment of how marijuana has impacted our lives surprised me.

I suppose it shouldn’t.  On Saturday, we had the most amazing beach day.  The weather was perfect and we were all in one place at one time.  That’s become too rare since my daughter went to college.

We used to live near the beach; we spent nearly every day with our toes in the sand.  Even after moving north, we trekked down at least twice a week.  Last summer, we only went once.

I was taking opiates, valium, and Lyrica around the clock.  Those pharmaceuticals left me nauseous, fatigued, and severely depressed.  They didn’t even control the pain effectively.

Dealing with constant severe pain and miserable side-effects meant we hardly went anywhere.  When we did go out, I couldn’t last more than a few hours.  MMJ gave us normalcy back.

MMJ hasn’t completely healed my issues, but it eases my muscle spasms better than anything I’ve tried (and I’ve tried nearly everything).

Yesterday’s beach day was glorious, but it actually started out a tense.  I vaporize my marijuana using the Pax2, an herbal vaporizer.  In NJ patients can only access flower (it’s frustrating and expensive, but better than nothing).

Friday morning, my Pax 2 died.  I cried.  It comes with a 10-year warranty so I know they’ll fix it, but I had to figure out how to administer my medication until then.

I turned to the only other option I knew, smoking. I waltzed into the convenience store, with my 9 year-olds in tow, and I asked the guy behind the counter if they sold pipes.

The cashier stared at me blankly.  I repeated it several times.  He shrugged.

I usually communicate my MMJ patient status with sensitivity, but without medication, the pain zapped my patience.

“I need a pipe to put my marijuana in and smoke it,” I said slowly.  His expression reflected a mix of both shock and realization.  He finally presented a pipe.

Smoking out this pipe sucked.  To be fair, I really don’t enjoy smoking much.  I have asthma and smoke gags and chokes me.  Then my airways constrict and not enough medication reaches my lungs to be absorbed.

And realistically, even in the privacy of my back patio, I felt self-conscious using it.

I never feel self-conscious using the Pax2.   The Pax2 delivers an exceptional cannabis experience and looks discrete.  It allows me to take my medication in public without attracting attention.

I ended up stopping on the way to the beach and buying a second one because this vaporizer really makes a huge difference for me.

Being without my Pax3 for more than 24 hours made me realize just how incredible this device is.  If you’re a medical marijuana patient who uses medical marijuana patient who uses flower you need a Pax.Trending Now
