Stop and Smell The Cannabis

Ever stop to stare down a dandelion?

It’s a weed, but they’re magnificent.

I especially adore the ones trapped in sidewalk cracks.  They’re trampled on, trodden, and often starved – yet dandelions thrive.

Dandelions don’t allow their circumstances affect them.  Even when their surroundings suck, they bloom on brightly.

A lot of weeds are like that.  They’re cut down and ripped out repeatedly, but they come back with vengeance. and the gardener thinks, “fucking dandelion!” because one stubborn dandelion can create a whole patch in a short time.

How’s your sidewalk crack?  Mine is super-sparse right now.  I keep telling myself, “Be a fucking dandelion.”

Aside from health issues, I have big household changes brewing.  Change is hard and the whole family is reeling.

Meditation and marijuana are keeping me sane and managing my pain levels.

Meditation adjusts my perspective.  It urges me to slow my roll and look at the little things – both metaphorically and literally.

Meditation balances me.  Balance opens my heart to gratitude.

Gratitude illuminates each glorious detail hiding behind each ordinary moment.

Look at the beautiful details I’d miss if I didn’t slow down.

Slow down and look closer.
